Default (Yet Another) Friodur - the Prequel *grin*

Today I received the Friodur I ordered before the one in my previous thread... and although it seemed flawless in the add, I discovered a few very tiny dents in the blade... maybe I was spoiled by the other Frioudur... I contacted the seller and await a response...

A close-up of the dents... what would be the best way to get them out ? They're not really chips or cracks, but very tiny dents, it's as if the steel has been pushed up a bit and aside a bit... really hard to get a good picture of it...

ps: the box came with another razor I bought, so not original to this razor.

The chip on the edge shouldn't be hard to hone out, and the one on the tail really isn't worth worrying over, that should be an excellent shaver.
Not a bad find at all.

I have never honed any blade before, so I don't think I'm the right guy to restore this razor. Thinking of selling it, but haven't got a clue what to ask for it.

Tough to say with the volitility of today's market. One day you might not be able to get $50 for it, the next day you may see the same thing sell for $100

It's a good brand, in reasonably good condition, but not shave ready. I think you're best opportunity to get what it's worth would be to take reallt good pictures, and post it on E-bay. I'm guessing that it would go for 40+ possibly as much as 60 or 70. also time the auction to end around the 3rd of the month... But not in July... sit on it for a month...

Does anyone know for sure of which material the handle is made on these Friodurs ? Is it celluloid or something else ?

If you are thinking about selling it, why not post that in the classifieds section of this forum? I'm quite sure that someone would snatch it in very little time.
I've never honed a razor before, but those dents seem to be quite easy, when knowing what you're doing, to hone out.
Concerning price... you can always post it with a "best offer" price tag. I just might be crazy enough to place an offer...

    Just a thought...
