Default 5/8 French point Josh Earl, padauk scales

    I received this Thursday.

it is a tad over 5/8, quarter hollow, padauk scales, adjustable pivot, nylon washers between the blade and scales, like Livi usually does, and a turquoise spacer.

Stropped it and had a nice comfortable shave with it today

the acid wash he is putting on the blade gives a light texture to it but the overall feel of the blade is like an old Sheffield blade with a fine patina. A pleasure to see and use!

    Thanks, Josh!

    Congratulations Jim,
The Spanish point razor I got from Josh is my favorite (and I own a few nice razors). I would love to get another razor from him so I could have a good rotation of the two and get rid of some of the others. The shave I get from it is the best.

That tail design just kind of happened. I was starting to clean up the grind with my small contact wheel, and I looked at the wheel, then looked at the tail... :hmmm I'll probably use that design again. I liked the way it came out.

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. My production has slowed a bit, as my daily commute is taking about 2.5 hours of my life every day, and my other freelance business has been really busy this spring... But you'll be seeing razors from me for a long time.

I've got one of his as well and agree wholeheartedly. Mine feels a lot like my 6/8 Wostenholm wedge. A really nice-shaving, rugged-looking razor. Now if I can just talk him into doing framebacks...
