    Default Rust or not

I just bought three blades form a local junk store and one of them is really fancy looking but im not sure if i can save it or use it especially as a beginner.
it is a Wester Bros Hi Carbin Steel from Solinger Germany still in the box with broken scales.
all the parts are there but its got a bit of rust

I don't think that blade will make a shaver again. There looks to be a frown just in from the heal, and that is a massive amount of uneven hone wear. You would likely be better off saving the time for a workable razor.

Agreed with Holli. I suggest just using it to practice as a restore experiment, with various grit sandpapers and polishes. I wouldn't have any hope of bringing it back to a shaver. Nor would you really want to.

Hope you didn't spend more than $5 on it.

Sorry, but between the spine and the edge I didnt see anything worth saving.
