    Smile Now this is neat!

I was going through my razors, picking out the ones I thought I might get rid of, when I came across one of my favorites! An old frameback that dates from 1852 to 1861! It is a W M GILCHRIST! All of this is interesting info! it also dates the true frameback a little earlier than I thought they were made! The real interesting bit is that while looking for info on this razor I discovered that in Abraham Lincolns pocket, on the day he was assassinated was a pocket knife that was made by W M GILCHRIST!!

    Neat huh?

I was considering getting rid of this one but I don't think I can anymore!

Oh, by the way, it is 13/16's+ at its widest point and 13/16's- at its narrowest point!

Great looking razor and in great condition too. I promised that I was going to buy myself a smiley at some point.

Interesting! Note the hone wear on the frame! I'd like to see that one in person, Mark!
I wonder if honest Abe would have ever taped a spine, hehehehehe

[Edit: I have been informed there is little hone wear on that blade. It must not be that shiny line I see on my dark screen!]

[Edit II: Thanks for that little tidbit, Mark!]
