Thanked: 9Zowada Custom Finally Landed Home!!!
Attached are some pics of the new fully custom razor that Tim Zowada made for me. It was a 9 month labor of anticipation and excitement culminating in a breathless piece of work in my humble opinion.
It is a 7/8 damascus, shoulderless, 1/4 hollow, barber's notch razor with a thumb notch, jimps, extended tail, and humped shank topped off with the most beautiful exhibition grade BLUE mammoth ivory I have ever laid eyes on!
Tim hit the motherload with this scale material, in the words of Bill Ellis - Thanks Tim for all of your diligence in sourcing this from your agent's travels to Alaska to find it for me
The blue mammoth Ivory is at least 10,000+ years old. Gorgeous radiant bright, bold blue throughout the scales contrasts unbelievably with the beauty of the damascus blade! A match made in heaven!
The blade design is incredible and so perfectly balanced in the hand. The whiskers on first pass literally fell off of my face effortlessly! Just a wonderful experience!!
Thanks TIm for all of our great design work and making this beautiful piece for me! This give me a TZ hat trick! The other two TZ's in a couple pics are the B&B LE in onyx scales and the other is a 7/8 round point in some wood scale material - I don't know my woods well. It is interesting to see the different blade designs and sizes when the 3 are put together!
And now to my amateurish pics!

Thanks for the great pics ! One of the prettiest razors I have ever seen.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Oh, now i'm jealous!
Thats a handsome razor indeed! Not often that the scales grab me as much as a blade, but they're an amazing colour, & i bet they've got real depth to them in the flesh.
