Default Wester Bros "Lite Wate Wedge"

I think there's a Wostie razor club, but no Westie razor club. So I'll just post my pics of a Wester Bros I picked up recently. It's in good shape. I have not honed it yet. The grind is very cool. Since I have not shaved with it yet, aesthetically, it's one of my new favorites hands down:

I really liked the way that blade was made, the last picture shows it really well! Is that normal for wedges?

That's a very cool grind! Love the lines of it. What are the scales, any idea?

Definitely not a normal wedge grind. The grind on this razor reminds me of a blood channel seen on some knives.

Right Ivan. With the gully running the length of the spine, this type of grind should reduce or even eliminate uneven honewear on the spine. That doesn't mean it still couldn't have potential to produce uneven bevels so I'll have to check it out. If it's not a candidate for wide stones, then to the narrow ones it will go to keep the bevels even.

Good question on the scales. They feel most like bakelite although they're more dense and have more of a heft to them.
