    Default Army Special

I thought I would do something with my Army Special blade so I inletted a 1st Cavalry Div insignia on one side and my initials on the other. I served with the 1st Cav and I have my initials on the other side because I have five sons. Army Special is engraved on the blade but it is difficult to see.

I restored one of those for a friend recently. This is only the 2nd one I have seen. I need to find the pics. It is an awesome full hollow blade at almost 7/8".

I honed it up but did not get to test shave wth it but it took a great edge and the owner of the blade says it shaves really well.

    Default Army Special first shave

I used the Army Special today and it gave great shave. I used a barber hone on it and am very satisfied. I am going to put it aside and use it on over night fishing trips. That way my regular seven day set stays at home. I also reduced the size of the scales. They were a little too big.

Good for you jszabo! every so often there is an army special on e bay. They aren't top of the line razors but they are nice. The blade is a little wider than the regular 5/8 and they sharpen up nice and give a good shave. Why don't you have e bay alert you when there is an army special up for auction. Good luck, trooper.

I also had this one done for him and thought you might enjoy it. It is one of my favorites and I have to that Tim(oldbaldes) for the scales and Glen(gssixgun) for cleaning up the blade for me.
