Thread: Simmons Hardware Str8 Razor

Just won this from ebay. Now this is the first ebay I have done in many years since I had trouble with them years ago. It is an old Straight Razor with a wooden handle in fair condition. Container has the words Barber's Pet Razor - Simmons Hardware Co.


not a good pic but will get better ones after it gets here.



I also checked in the wiki on the name Simmons. It is in the list of razor makers so I'm little happy with it. From the pic it needs some cleaning and I might change the wood scales for some wenge scales.


*Note: This is a Wade & Butcher Bow razor... Just found that out from another member.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news Mystic, but there appears to be a lot of toe wear on that baby, You may still be able to turn it into a good shaver though...I hope.

I saw that, This razor will be a teaching tool for me to lean how to restore razors. I'm hoping it will come out better then my Tomahawk I have, but if not... what the hell I'll have it in a case and show it off or resell it.

Weird, that mark is Wade/Butcher Bow Razors, but I guess they made the blank for Simmons? I'm still learning here
