    Default over nite kit

With fishing season almost here I put together an over nite kit for trips. Just the basics. Anyone else have a travel kit made up?
    razor (army special)
    lather soap and brush
    leather hone strip
    barber hone
    tooth brush
    tooth paste
    face soap
    comb
    mirror
    after shave balm
    nail clippers

Include an extra boot lace to hang the mirror, or to replace a broken one.

Nice kit, Tony! I'm generally a light traveler myself so I just throw together something about this size too when I'm away fro a few nights.

Looks like a nice little setup. I remember packing an overnight kit for a trip down to see my brother. I was going to take my Swaty along, but I decided that, for the week and a half or so, I wouldn't need do to any touchups. I was kinda sad to leave her behind, though.

I travel quite a bit with work, but normally my kit is a DE instead of a straight. Lately I have been putting a lot more thought into bringing one along. My first real problems is that I don't have a good/safe way to transport my razor and strop. I've been kicking around the idea of those little travel paddles that has the compartment for the razor. Do you store your razor in anything?

Do you store your brush in any type of container? I have been using a ziploc bag with mixed results, but tonight I found little tube containers at Home Depot that I'll try next. For soap I use Pre de Provence since it comes in a great metal case with screw on lid.

Nice kit, and it got my wheels turning again. Thanks

do none of you tape the spine? I haven't honed or touched up any of my razors, but if I did I'd need to tape the spine to match the bevel. do you just wrap a bit of tape around the brush/comb handle and take with you?

Thanks forr the suggestions! I do keep the brush in a precription pill container that I drilled a couple of holes in the bottom for ventilation. and the razor in a regular razor box. I also have a regular brass travel brush that nests together, that isn't shown but I will post a pick after I put my new badger hair knot on it, but I sure am confused. I bought it on e bay and it is all brass with New York USA stamped on the bottom along with a large Nazi swaztika. I will post a pick on the right thread when I finish addiing the brush. Anyone have any ideas why the strange markings. I knew German soldiers that shaved with a straight but this couldn't have been an issue item with USA on it.
