    I'd love to see one of Max's in the flesh. They look incredible in his photo's. I love those thumb notches & the scales set that mirror finish off to perfection!

    Odd...has the blade been reshaped in any way? I also have an mk 31, but it's a round point...

    How long is your cutting edge?

    It could be like the ducks, some models had both spike and round points. If the toe was modified, whoever did it was an expert as it is flawless.

    Nope, it hasn't been modified in any way. Original as can be.

    Here's another MK31 just like 'Dkapp' or here

    I haven't seen an MK31 with a round point, yet. Maybe yours was reshaped into a round point

    Well, possibly...although I bought it as NOS, and it was absolutely flawless...looking totally unused. The grinding is very close to a full hollow though, so Í suppose it is possible that someone took the point off really carefully, without it showing any other signs of modification.

    Edit: It measures 74 mm from the point to the place where the thumb notch starts. That's 2.913 american inches (approximately 2"+15/16").
