Getting My Dream Razor
Months ago I ordered a custom from Robert Williams. At the time I gave the deposit to get in line I knew I wanted a damascus 8/8 with pre ban elephant ivory scales but had no particular vision of the blade design. In the months that followed I acquired a couple of swayback blades by Case Bros and Joh Engstrom. I liked the look and the feel while shaving so by the time my turn came up I knew the blade shape I wanted.
Robert worked with me very closely on this even to the extent of forging an intitial blade and putting it aside when it didn't conform to my exact vision of the shape. What he finally came up with exceeded my expectations. It is going in the mail today and I am straining at the bit to kick the tires and take it around the block.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Oh, that's gorgeous! How long was it from your deposit going down till now? Every day you'll await the postman with anticipation till that arrives. It'll be hard going unless you're a very patient man!

Holy WOW! I'm absolutely green with evy! The shape is great, and that's a beautiful pattern in the weld!
That's definitely something you'll (and your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc.) will cherish many lifetimes over!
