Striding along with my new EDC!
Today the postman delivered my new knife. It's a STRIDER PT!!!
I knew they were small, but that is a good thing in England at the moment. It fits my hand pretty well when i choke up on the blade. It's not new, but even 2nd hand ones are still pricey over here. Very pleased with it. What do you guys think?

Really nice knife. A head above traditional EDC. Enjoy!

I thought all locking folders were considered offensive weapons in ol' blighty.
I don't think I'd want to carry a $300 knife in a jurisdiction where cops can shake-down people for any kind of "weapon" on the street. Think of all the obsequious kowtowing to local council and the courts you'd have to do to get it back.
All that said, it's a sweet little knife!

Ben I think I wish you hadn't posted that. Before I opened this thread I had never heard of Mick Strider or his lovely knives. Now I want one. Great little blade to carry. Enjoy it.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks guy's. My thread title's making me cringe now. What was i thinking!
shuredgefan, I consider it part of my toolkit as a carpenter! Also, i find the law itself offensive. I find a knife indispensible & i'm not risking something that doesn't lock snapping shut on me. They need to crack down on the people who cause the problem's with knives. Trouble is we're on 3rd generation scum now. Grandparents, parents & kids, all sponging off the welfare system & they have no respect or discipline. Thanks, i feel better now! It is a sweet knife.
Jimmy, if you do think about getting one, research it well. They're meant to be a rugged tool. They're certainly well made, but there's not much sophistication about them! They're very light, due to the materials & i thought i'd try a CPM S30V blade, as that's what my RW's being made from.
They're relatively cheap your side at $300, as they're 300 Euro's here with no UK distributors!

Nice one. I carry a larger version in the same shape with brown scales and a black blade. Love the cutout at the bottom of the blade for your finger, really lets you get a grip on it.

The cut out's pretty essential on this as it's a small knife. It does give a lot of leverage. I like the bigger one's, but not to carry with me here. The PT is small enough not to cause much offence.
The fella i got it from has just got himself a Hinderer XM18 & that's why he let the Strider go. They look fantastic! Very expensive here, but maybe one day!

Nice blade and the clip is in a good spot! I like the clips off centered if not all the way to one side. Makes it easier to hang on your pocket, but I guess you don't want to do that where your from!

After my beloved Benchmade AFCK turned up missing out of my pocket, I swore off expensive EDC knives.
My EDC now is a CRKT M16-M4 I got at a gun show for $40. The kicker makes it just as fast as an automatic and if I lose it, I'll just get another.
