Default Won this "RAZOR WHET STONE"

The header said "VINTAGE CUT THROAT RAZOR WHET STONE for SHARPENING" I like this "for SHARPENING" Oh my god! And I that thought this would make a nice door stopper :-)

Well i only know that it 15 cm. and for sharpening.... I'll keep you posted..

I'll second that opinion. I know the photo's a bit limited, but even that label cries out Thuringian & the size is consistent too.

    So the stone came today.

I don't think that this is a natural stone
Note also that that the hone has like a profile at one side.

Still it's very fine and I can't tell how it works cuz. I haven't worked any razor on yet.

The label on hone stone says:
"Always lay the razor flat on the hone, and draw from the heal to the point against the edge. Use dry without water, soap or lather.
Do not bear op the razor. From three to five strokes is all that is necessary to put a perfect edge"

Well that it, more nice hone's are on the way.

    thank you for your reply.

It seems strange that a man made product would be sold that small. Maybe lap it & get a better look at the fresh surface? The shape of the stone beneath the label does suggest man made though. Didn't notice that originally. Hope it works well, either way.
