    Default Finally...

I've wanted one of these for as long as I've been straight shaving, and the lucky ebay score finally happened. I'm counting down the hours until this baby gets here...

I love it, but what was it you wanted? Maker, shoulderless, barbers notch, or just that exact razor? I want it too now!

Actually yeah. I've always thought shoulderless razors were pretty cool-looking. I managed to snag a Torrie "Our Beauty" about 8 months ago, but it's quite light, and I have a wiry beard. Plus, the 2 sheffield razors already in my collection have really impressed me.

As for the maker, I've heard a lot of good about Frederik Reynolds blades, and I've decided to make it a quest to own at least one razor from every Sheffield maker I can find...

I'll report back more when it arrives...

Ah ha, I saw the picture and knew at once that was a Reynolds. They have such a destinctive design. I've had both a bigger one and a smaller one with that same design, and both were great shavers. Unfortunately, mine weren't in nearly as good shape as yours is. Congratulations!

    Sweeet!

Is that what they call a pseudo-frameback (a unitary razor ground to look like a two-piece)?

I'm actually not sure. Perhaps one of our resident experts could chime in...???

Yep! Also known as a concave grind or sometimes called a rattler
