This is the one with the gold wash that had to be removed. You can see from the pits that the rust was pretty extreme. I think the blade was in an unused condition, I don't believe there was any spine wear. And it was dull as a butter knife. Thats ok, I got a new bevel on her and cleaned her up.

Even after losing all the wash, it's a great looking razor.

Hey, that looks better than I had pictured. Based on your other thread, I imagined some pitting on the tang as well. Looks great.

I have a couple of matching ERN's with the same blade as that. One in ivory celluloid and another in imitation tortoise.. I like their look Maybe I will build a set of those blades.

Can't do much better than that, with the extreme pitting. It wll do! Good job, and I won't even ask how many hours you spent sainding it. Let us know how it shaves! Thanks for sharing a nice restoration.
