Thanked: 13245Mint !!! Never been honed Kinfolks Blue Steel
Yes I am bragging here !!!!!!
I scored this one last week on the Bay and I had a funny feeling it was sweet, but I really snagged one.....
$43 shipped, won me a never been honed "Kinfolks Blue Steel Special"
The razor is as perfect as they come, exactly 5 minutes with some MAAS and some Plastic X to clean the steel and the scales and I was done....
I will slide her across the hones tonight and be in the SOTD in the morning
Just for razor info Kinfolks is a Case family razor the company was in business from 1927 until 1957 in Little Valley N.Y.

That is a beauty Glen. I nailed one like it some time ago that wasn't in as good a shape but good enough and honed up to be a great shaver. The American steel seems to rival the Solingens in quality. At least many of them do.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 13245Yeppers this is one of "those" razors, I honed it up and couldn't wait to shave, so it was a night shave instead of a morning one OH WELL !!!!
Quick you will relate to this, the edge is perfect like that "Top Notch" I did for you, this is one of those bevels that you would love to use in a honing demonstration, even, sharp, and tiny..... I pushed the edge, with near feather light laps on this one, 1k -16K Shapton stones, no pastes, just an SRD Premium strop, 50/100 webbing and leather a true one pass WTG BBS ....... Yeah it's a keeper already sitting in the American Steel drawer next to the Kinfolks "The Ace"
Best $43 I have spent in ages....
