8 Hungarian Razors, Part 1
I promised that I would post some pictures of these when they arrived, so here goes. This post has been moved from Auction Talk because I thought it may be more appropriate here.
First is an EKS 5/8 with beautiful MOP scales. The MOP sits on brass backing plates and the wedge is not a wedge (just a straight white spacer) due to the need to keep the backing plates straight. The case reads "Edaco Solingen".
As can be seen in the photo, the blade has a slight frown that should hone out. However, I will practice my honing on a few other blades before tackling this one.
Second is a Blue Steel Razor Co 5/8 with MOP inserts on the tang. I have honed this and shaved with it this morning. It may become my favourite razor
Third is a Gevoso 13/16. Has very nice jinks on top and botom of tang.
Fourth, a Tuckmar 5/8. Back of tang reads A. Leupold Kulmbach.
To Be Continued...

I just spent several minutes admiring your new razors. Wow! The EKS rules, of course, with those beautiful translucent MOP scales, and looks almost unused. The Nowill Kross-Keys with the gunstock scales is my favorite of the lot, though. Are those scales highly polished horn? Every Nowill razor I have seen was very high end and had nice scales of ivory, bone, or tortoise shell. Very lucky snag of seven great razors!

Nice stuff! A reminder that it doesn't have to be a Duck a Filly or a W&B barber's use to be a great find. Thanks for the beautiful photos. You've recharged my RAD.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Great find! Should you decide you want to let ANY good razors like these - with a covered tang - go please send me a PM! I can satisfy my RAD with a buy here better than on the bay.

some cool blades! I think if I ever get a custom blade made it has to be etched, "sharper than a woman's tongue".
