    Default Maxard razor

I bought this Maxard Razor from eBay( Yes, suspect some of you were bidding against me). I was a little concerned, because I couldn't find anything here on this maker.

It has arrived, been honed and had its first shave with me.

Let's just say it isn't going anywhere.

Here are a few things you can't tell from the pics. The scales are beautiful. A little buffing and they look brand new. The spine is at least 1/4" thick. This is a nice 13/16 blade. The blade is fully hollowed and although there are those few scratches on the blade, It doesn't look as if any serious attempt to hone had been done when I looked at the bevel under the microscope. The action is perfect.

It honed to a fine edge easily (even for a newbie like me).

Then the shave was the best thing about it. It shaved like a heavier blade, but the edge is fine and flexible giving a close comfortable shave. It glided effortlessly with barely any guidance from me. It was like it knew my face better than I did.

Am I happy with my purchase? Oh yeah, baby!

Very nice razor.. love the spine!

It's funny that it's "guaranteed for 10 years." Why not lifetime?
