Thanked: 234My finds
Been beaten in quite a few auctions recently, and the one I would have won I totally forgot about
Anyway, just got this, looks to have minimal hone wear - sheffield - 6/8 maybe? Should be an ok little restore - I need a sweedish blade and this is the only way I'm gunna be able to justify it lol.

Shine and hone that sucker up and send us some new pics!

Thanked: 234Picked up another couple of sheffields on the off chance in an antique store today, this one will make a nice starter blade for some one:
This one I'll likely be keeping, I'd love to know more about it. La Petit from S.Hibert and Sons, Sheffield. It's tiny; 2 1/8 cutting edge. Shame one of the scales has snapped, but it's useable for now. I might make it my first rescale.

Thanked: 234Here's another one off the bay, looks to be ok as well. Should see someone alright once I'm polished it up and honed it.
And here's the F.A Stokes ready to go:
Turned out to be a massive 7/8, with a 3" blade. Much bigger than anything else I've owned or worked on. Was a joy to hone.Last edited by gregs656; 06-13-2009 at 12:13 PM.
