Default Barbers hone and a ?

Went to a car boot today, I got there pretty late but scored a babers hone so that was worth while. Gunna lap it and see how it compares to my coticule and also the chromox I bought yesterday, I'm not sure if I'll keep it.

The other stone I picked up on the off chance I think is carborundum, but it feels really fine, they're supposed to be pretty coarse tho right? If nothing else it can be a bevel setter for ebay specials or somthing. I'm not really sure what I could use it for?

    greg,

I don't have the answer to your question, I apologize, but I did want to ask out of curiosity....is a "car boot" similar to a garage sale here in the states? just curious. thanks!

Sorry, I tend to auto translate these things when I write on predominantly american forums, this one slipped through the net. You would probably call them flea markets.

Just spent a half hour lapping, getting there!
