Default 7/8" M.J. Higgins Just arrived!!

At long last my M.J. Higgins sheffield razor arrived in the mail today after what seemed like an eternity. I bought this razor a little over a year ago right after joining SRP and never really had the time nor the dedication to restore it (spent a few days on it though). So, about a month ago i decided it was time to finally get this thing in shaving shape and sent it off to AaronX for restoration. I asked for some purple scales and Aaron made some beautiful purple heart scales for me. Aaron was even gracious enough to ship my razor off to Lynn and Don for honing...thank you Aaron! To wrap up, i just test drove this bad boy and all I can say is AWESOME! It was my first time with such a large razor and a wedge to boot (only other razor is a 5/8" Torrey full hollow...aside from the 11/16" crown and sword i bought 2 days ago). It left a little stubble in the difficult areas but i think i finally understand when people say that the blade just glides over the skin. It was like i was using a squeegee rather than a piece of steel and was so comfortable. I think i have a wonderful razor here and i can't wait to use it again. Thanks Lynn, Don, and Aaron for making my day!!

Oh here is a pic courtesy of Aaron:
