    Default at the antique mall

Since everyone has been finding great stuff at the antique mall, I thought I would give it a try. Here's what I found:

6/8 A. Fields, German Ground marked 444 3/4 on the reverse

sorry for the poor pics. The spine is about 3/16" thick. Would this be a near wedge?

Everything seems to be in excellent shape. I may polish it a bit but no rust, no pitting. minimal hone wear.

All I've found is that the founder of the company died in 1884 at the age of 70. The company may have been in production until 1919.
