Hey that is awfully nice of you. I want the fifth one in the third row. Kidding aside, great collection.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

That island is really a lot bigger than it looks in that picture. I can't imagine how long it must have taken to get those all out and then put them back, let alone the "re-organizing" that went on.

Thanks Holli. Yea, it took a while. Not happy with the re-org so I think I will do it again in the near future. JrJoeD was taking pics of the straights not in the database yet and the camera was having fits which got me going. As a result I put the ones I didn't shave with yet and a couple I didn't hone away. Now I have to sort through them again and putt those two sets out. Gotta shave with every razor I have that isn't cracked or pitted too bad. If I can pick them up for a couple of bucks I but the straights with those problems for the scales.

I have honed and shaved with every razor on the island is except the three w/o scales and four others that were next for the hone. The straights with the tangs to the left I still need to shave with and are ready to take a spin.

Thanks for your assistance in our honing marathon. Karen and Joseph are still amazed that we honed all of those razors in one sitting. Maybe we should have another honing marathon and open it up to the others here at SRP that would like to join us. I don't really have but the seven that need to be honed and I expect to have the 4 w/ scales done by the weekend. The rescales will be done mid July when Jr is over for summer vacation. So, instead of honing a lot of 30 or any of my straights we can focus on the straights members bring along of their own. Are you up for something like that?

If so, I can create a thread and open it up to the forum. Time frame would be the weekend of 7/11,12 or 7/18,19.

Yup, I'd be up for something like that. It would be really cool to have a meet with a huge focus on honing; those honing would get to hold all the blades (to get a real close look), we could share lots of info/insight on honing technique and such, and people could leave with shave ready razors. Sounds like an awesome concept for a get-together; thread in that section? I'll leave it to you to start this one (if you haven't already).

Wow, that's quite a few razors, and then some more.

That 7 day set looks interesting.
