Everyone I ever bought a "shave ready" razor from or who honed a razor for me, except for Revisor. They all stropped it before sending it to me.

And just in case there is some misunderstanding -- I am talking about the first shave after getting the razor!

I think the theory is they all wanted me to get at least one good shave before mucking up their work!

Thanks for the comments again guys, but this thread IS a bit older now...

Bob, the razor shaves great. I did give it a very minor honing and a good stropping, but since then it has been a great shaver.

Now I'm puzzled. Since they stropped it, executed all tests one could assume it should have provided a great shave. I'm not going to say their stropping techniques were poor. This is confusing. Unless, it wasn't stropped enough is only viable solution I can think of. Thanks Bob

The point is that they (Revisor) didn't strop it. That's why they didn't tell me not to. As a matter of fact they told me I did need to do so but I missed seeing that. I just assumed it would be like all the others. As I said in my first post it was my mistake.
