Thanked: 132Weekend antiqueing find...
Found this straight this weekend. Its in pretty good shape and should clean up nicely, i would think.
Too bad it has a spiked toe...hate those.

Great find! Love these antique shop finds and this is a good one. There are some here that would call that point a spike, but I call it a square point. To me, a spike point is a square point where the cutting edge is further away from the tang than the cutting edge of the toe. If you don't mind modifying the blade you can always round off the tip on your hones. A lot of Barbers would do that and still do with their shavettes.
I found a Marsh and Sheppard yesterday that I would call a spike. Hope to have pics up later.
Good luck with you Easy Aces!“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

I want an Easy Aces. I like Geneva/Genco razors generally and have a real yearning for an Easy Aces.

Thanked: 1903Lovely. I've wanted one of these for a long time.
There is one in the SRDB already, unfortunately, but yours looks just as nice.

Thanked: 132Well, i am cleaning it up as we speak and outside of a bit of pin-tightening required, it is looking pretty darn great.
Thanks,
