    Default A Peerless pair

I have had the Ivory celluloid Wolstenholm "Peerless" 5/8 square point for some time. It is a great shaver and a nice looking razor. I came close to selling this when I saw the black round tip come up on eBay. I Bought the razor and brought these 2 together. I sharpened the round tip (which took off the black spot you see in the pic) and shaved with it last night. Same great shave.

The pics aren't great, but I was in a hurry to get that round tip honed and try 'em out.

    I think they belong together.

Nice ones Pyment! I like that "gold" in the blades! Why its one with 3 pins and the other with 2 if they are the "same" razor..but one square and other round point..do you feel any diference? ..balance maybe (?)..
Congrts with your find! If i have crossed with that one on ebay..hmmm..maybe hi would had go for it to

I don't know if the makers intended them to be a pair, but since I now own them, I say they area pair.

Besides look at these 2 Wackers

One is a 1/4 hollow the other a wedge. One is a Spanish point, the other is a round point. One set of scales is blond horn the other is dark. If Herr Wacker can say those 2 are a pair, I can say mine are a pair. I even have a 2 razor storage case (in rough shape) I can put them in. They are like my 2 children, you can see they belong to the same family, but they are still different from one another.

They do shave pretty close to one another. Perhaps I need some more practice.

WOW! Im looking forwards to try also a Wacker! I just asked, since the razors are "almost twins", to try to know the diference in having one with 3 pins and other with 2...just curiosity

Very nice Wostenholms! I have never seen a bad one, and mine are all good shavers. Not hard to hone at all, either.

I think the 3 pin ones seem to have less problems with the scales warping.

    I just love the look.

As Croaker said, putting an edge on the black scaled one was about 15 laps on the DMT 1200 then 10 on the DMT 8K then finish up on the Nakayama and we were ready to shave.
