These types of scuttles are actually quite nice with steaming hot water. Just a tad of water hangs out at the holes and along with the steam from the hot, it really makes for nice warm lather through out the shave.

Very nice.We'll soon need a scuttle club. I remember my father had one that had a pearlized look about it and I thought it looked strange when I was little but now I love the old fashioned look about them.
