That's a cool looking little razor. Have you shaved with it yet?

Ain't it gorgeous! I have one too, and it is a really nice shaver. I had never seen scales like that before. Does yours have a small blade? Mine is only a 4/8, but is a devastating whisker squeegee. Congratulations!

Thanked: 2Yes, and its amazingly sharp and smooth!
I was told its a 5/8 - 1/4 Hollow To Near Wedge
Boy is this a nice razor. Scales are really cool. Im going to name it something related to christmas as it reminds me as a xmas gift all wrapped up nice and pretty.
Id love to know a little about the history of this razor... Anyone know anything about the company at all, or when the razor might have been made?

From Goin's:
CHECKER g 1920-1940 "Saxon Supply Co. Toledo Ohio" is stamped on the back of the tang.
My Checker Wedge is marked "Flynn the Razor King, Omaha Ne." on the other side of the tang, otherwise it is identical with yours.

Thanked: 2Mine just says "Middle States Jobbing & Import Co, Made in the USA" & "Checker Wedge" on the other side...
On the scales though i can read "Checker Wedge" very faint and small cant seem to get a good photo of it.

It may be that the Checker Wedge company sold razors to lots of distributors, who stamped their names on them too.
