Quack Quack. Quack Quack.
Floppyshoes sent me these photos yesterday and gave me permission to post them.
I eagerly anticipate their arrival after their long southward flight

Nice workmanship! What are you gonna store in the 2nd slot of that box?

Thanked: 74Is that curly or tiger maple for the scales? Are the spaces in that box lined with padding (darn fine idea)?

Blades:
DD Goldedge and Satinedge
Blued spine and tang (cold blued, but with the old, toxic stuff that looks good)
Face and back are satin finish
Scales:
Tiger Maple, african blackwood wedge, recycled brasswork, proprietary finish.
Box:
Double razor case. Face is kiaat, sides are walnut, top and foot are zircote, inside is partially lined with cedar. Rubbed oil finish. I couldn't decide on what I wanted to use for the box, so I used a little of everything.

Whoa! Those ducks look very tasty indeed. As for the box, it seems that with a couple of well placed holes, Lee could get a fairly sophisticated woodwind instrument, too!
