Default Antiquing, 8 razors in 2 days.

So I spent todays walking around in antique malls in my area, and came up with these.

    From left to right-
    H. Boker & Co. #387,-----W.H. Morley & son's Clover Brand,
    C.W. Engel Solingen # 60,-----Puma Solingen #76,-----Gold bug,
Joseph Allen and sons Sheffield NON XLL,
Keen Kutter I think it is model K729,-----DD Satinedge

This is also the order I am going to restore them excluding the DD, I think it might be beyond repair (or at least beyond what I think I could do, since I never restored a razor before).

    I hope, I did good.
There are a few more razors that I was going to go back for sometime this week, and I still have a few more antique malls to check out.
    I think I'm developing RAD.
Suggestions on restoring are most appreciated. I currently have no tools or experience.

    Thanks for taking a look,
    nate

Very nice blades. Also interesting to see a C W Engels, as all that I've seen are F W Engels. Congrats!

I'm also rather jealous of that Boker you're got there - I'd quite like to get one for myself one day.

They all look like they could be shavers, except maybe that DD - that blade looks pretty rough. Lots of great names in there - Boker, Puma, Morley, Engels, Allen, Gold Bug.

The Boker, appears to be in the best shape of them all, except the scales, they need to be replaced.
    Thank you Holli4pirating

    Default Great assortment....

....if the Lancaster county you live in is in Pa. there was a show in knife show in Easton, there was a scattering of razors throughout, but one guy had a few dozen in decent shape,$20-$60.I shot my budget on a pocketknife so just admired them from outside the case.

My daily shaver has identical scales to the American Novelty House and is American made. Even the bolsters are the same. What material are they? French Ivory? Bakelite?

    Slatibartfast,
The Boker and Puma are my favorites, also. This might change once I get them a good cleaning, a good honing, and a good shaving.

    Minniesmate,
Sorry, I'm not smart enough to tell the differences of scale material, I do however hope this changes soon.

    Dudleythetogi,
Yeah, I'm in Pa. I wish I would have known about the knife show, I would have went.
This was my first antiquing experience, nor have I ever been to auctions, state sales, flee markets, garage/yard sales, and knife/gun shows. I am going to keep a look out for more of these things now, so if you don't mind giving me a heads up next time something like this happens, maybe I could tag along with ya.

    Bpave777,
    I do believe it is.

    Thank you,
    Nate
