New Boker from SRD...!
Hi folks,
Well, my RAD is now developing nicely and I seem to be buying a new razor on a monthly basis..!
My latest addition is a Boker Edelweisse from SRD! I would also like to say at this point that, should the brain boxes at CERN want to split an atom, they can borrow my Edelweisse to do it! Yes, thats how good the edge on this thing is! So if anyone out there is wondering how good an SRD honed razor is, I can tell you first hand thats its unbe-fappin-lievable! Wipes the hairs away like they werent there.
The razor looks fantastic, with the bone scales giving the whole thing some more weight than my others, which have wood or celluloid scales. The craftsmanship is excellent and the steel of the blade is well crafted and beautifully finished. I've attached some pictures below for you to enjoy!
I was also very kindly sent some cologne samples with the razor (thanks guys!), a D.R. Harris Arlington and a Marlborough sample so I had a very enjoyable Saturday morning lathering up, shaving with my new toy and then trying out the colognes...!
So I just want to say a huge thanks to Lynn and Don for the great service and an edge that is absolutely second to none..!

I like them!
They're a bit more old school than the aftershaves I usually use, but I'd be keen to get a bottle of one, particularly the Marlborough! That one had a great olde worlde barber shop smell about it and would be fantastic on a cold winters day!

New Boker from SRD
My dear Stuart,
Congratulations on the new Boker "Edelweise." I love mine, too. It's a great razor in looks as well as balance and cutting edge. Also, Lynn and Don provide the best service.
I wish I were in London so that we could celebrate your new razor with pint at the local pub. Instead — since it's too early here for a pint — I will pour another cup of tea.
Here is to your new Boker "Edelweise," my friend. Stay well.
Regards,
Obie

Hi Obie,
Thanks very much! It is indeed a beautifully crafted bit of kit. I very much like the extra heft that the bone scales lend to the razor, and the edge that Lynn and Don put on it is second to none!
I would very much enjoy the pint and chat! Alas, I fear it will have to wait until one of us makes the trip across the pond..! Hopefully soon though, and perhaps a wander over to Trumpers on Curzon Street afterwards, or the local shaving shop or antique mall. I need to book some vacation!
I paid Trumpers a visit on the weekend and they are a veritable Narnia for the straight razor aficionado. And the smell in the shop is out of this world. A heady mix of cologne, lather, wood panelling and leather, it truly is sublime.
Take care and speak to you soon!
All the best,
Stuart
