My new Twins
Just got these hours ago and am I impressed.I won this on the Bay for $7.50 and wasn't sure because the razor was closed but I could see the box and decided to go for it, not realizing I was the only bidder. And here they are in the exact condition I recieved them with no cleaning.Oh yeah the milk glass shaving mug and brush were included in the price.

Nice score. Now you just need to get yourself a nice knot for that brush.

I,ve read some posts talking about replacing a knot in a brush, but where do you buy a knot from? And not to sound dumb but how to go about the replacement when you do get it,w\o damaging the brush.

I got mine at the Golden Nib.
badger hair shaving brushes and knots, wholesale pricing
There are several HowTos written on the subject. Some at Blade and Badger and probably some here as well. If you google for "shaving brush restoration" you'll be on your way. I've written about my first experience, which you might find helpful. It's not a HowTo but maybe you'll find a nugget or two.

Good luck with the project if you decide to do it.

I took a quick look at that set and almost bid on it but figured the razor was an off brand and wasn't impressed with brush and mug. I'm impressed now and depressed because I didn't bid....need my butt kicked! Congrats on fantastic buy!

Thanked: 137+1 on this. However, one thing I WILL add to the above, is remove the bristles from the old brush first, measure the size of the hole, THEN buy the knot to put in. Having recently replaced the knot in my Tweezerman, I can definitely vouch for it being a pain in the arse to have to enlarge the knot hole if you've guessed wrong for the size.
