Thanked: 12My Display Case
I just finished this last night. My homeco only stocks 2 packs of the little hooks. I needed 7 to have enough to hold 14 razors. So I was only able to hold 4 razors when I built it this weekend. That's OK, I only have 4 shave ready razors anyway
Here are a couple pics. It holds 14 razors total. As you can see, I have room for a few more
Razors are, from left to right, top to bottom:
new Boker King Cutter, new Dovo LE Mother of Pearl, vintage Bengall, new Dovo 5/8 Ebony Spike Point, vintage Isaac Walker, NOS Otto Busch World Master, vintage JR Torrey, can't recall what the imitation wood grain razor says on the tang, another vintage JR Torrey, and last a "Best of the West"
I put in magnets to hold the blades open. I like the way this worked out. One, I like being able to see the blades. It also holds them in the case a little better. Without the magnets, the razors don't sit upright in the hooks. It's real easy to remove a blade too. I just squeeze and push the blade back into the scales. This moves it away from the magnet, so it comes out easy. It's hard to describe I guess, but it works really well!
Anyway, I'm very pleased with how it turned out, so I wanted to share

Thanked: 12I have 3 "blond" NOS world masters as well. I'm still undecided what I'm doing with them. I bought a box that originally had 6 of them in it. I suspect the missing 2 were both tortoise. I only got 4 of them. I was really excited to get them. They are all brand new. Still in the cellophane bag inside the boxes including the little paper insert that talks about caring for the blades. I haven't taken any of the blonds out of the boxes yet, but I had to fondle the one in teh case the day I got it
This one is definitely a keeper. Once I get it honed up and shave with it, I'll decide what to do with the others. I suspect I'll sell at least 2 of them, but maybe all 3. I'm not sure I can justify keeping 2 of them since the only difference is the scales.
