    Default my 2nd ebay razor

    So this is my first post but this site is a noobs dream thanks srp so I had been in love with straights for as long as i can remember I know its because my grate grate grand dads strop and straight have been in my mothers china hutch forever so I started with a used ebay straight not knowing to much got one that had a lot of wear and tare on it I know how to hone and set bevels so I thought I would be ok well a few bad shaves later I knew I needed some thing better and boy did I find it after a light honing and a good stroping the best shave I have ever had thaks SRP for all the good tips

    Nice looking razor! The bevel looks narrow and even, and there seems to be little to no hone wear. I could not find any reference to your razor in Goins'. Does the other side of the tang also have a stamp? Looks and sounds English, but you can't go by just the name. My guess is it was made in Sheffield.

    Welcome to SRP. Glad your honing and your shave came out so well. Now you've got to talk your Mom into letting you put great grand dad's old razor back in service. Here is the SRP Wiki beginner's guide along with lots of other good stuff in case you haven't been there yet.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    there is not a stamp on the other side of the tang nor did the seller have any info on it and yes grate grate grand dads razor is going in to my rotation soon want to work on a few more ebay razors first ill say one thing Iam a lifer now
