Default Dubl Duck and Top Flight

So I had to dig out my grandfather's SR's after reading the forum I simply had to see if they were even decent quality. Sorry about the crappy pics, I don't feel like getting good light (if they are worth better pics I'll take some). The dubl duck reads "dubl duck dwarf" on one side and "pearlduck dubl duck solingen germany" on the other.

The other reads "Top Flight" on one side and Burell Cutlery Co. Inc., Ellicottville, N.Y. on the reverse. Neither of the blades have been used since at least '80 when he passed away. Any idea if they are restorable and able to be "shave ready"? The idea of shaving with my grandfather's old SR is way cooler than a razor I buy elsewhere.

great find. dubl duck is fine there is shouldn't be any problem with it. top flight will need a little work to remove the chip.
after that you are ready to go. gl

+1 on what sham said... the duck should be pretty straightforward, the other will need more to get that chip (maybe make it a shoulderless), but both should work out.

One thing you could do is send some pm's to the guys doing restorations on the classifieds/member services and see what they'd do and what they'd charge you.

The duck really only needs honing IMHO, but you could always opt to get them both shined up if you really wanted to.
    Cheers
