    wireless00,

    Great find...And for $7.50? Outstanding!

The scales on mine are somewhat the worse for wear too. I ordered a set of Robert Williams custom replacement scales for it today from SRD. It will be my first rescaling project.

    Wish me luck...

Turns out I've got that blade as well! Just received it in the mail from ebay.

Jhenry, are you going to be using adjustable pins or peening the pins?

I've been having a lot of fun rescaling blades. I'll be posting some pics here shortly.

    doleeo,

The pins on the Robert Williams scales are adjustable with a hex wrench. I presume that all I will need to do to remove the pins from the old scales is file the peen off and then remove the pin with a small punch or jeweler's screwdriver. Is that correct?

I look forward to seeing pics of your rescaled blades.

    Yep, that sounds right.

I've been using a set of flush cutters to remove pins thought.

As for my rescales, there nothing special. I'm using a coping saw and sandpaper to get them done. Some of them haven't turned out quite right, but they serve their purpose and allow me to use blades I'd otherwise have to send out to get rescaled.

Let me know how your rescaling project turns out. I may go ahead and do the same thing. BTW, if you don't mind, how much did you pay for the scales? Thanks.

    Oh yeah.....Good Luck!!!

    wireless00,

    Thanks for the encouragement.

BTW...The Robert Williams custom scales are $29.99 apiece I believe.
