Thread: King razor, and $5 hone

Here is a King razor, and a cheap honing stone I picked up yesterday. I couldn't find anything in the wiki database for King, the tang say's KING MFG. CO., WARRENTED, ST.LOUIS.So if anyone has any info on them I'd greatly appreciate it, I'm trying to determine the origin of the steel. The horn scales progress from a medium brown to dark, should polish up to be pretty. The hone was an impulse buy, responded well to some sewing machine oil, got a couple of blades to where they felt sticky on the thumb pad. I still need to get a decent finishing stone.
