    I think it'd be beautiful in big, simple scales - like the old W&Bs or whatnot. Elegant and impressive.

    1.25" doesnt sound quite big enough for that wonderful looking cleaver, you should lean more toward 2x4, that should get it done right, and seasoned oak would look wonderful, lololl, man i love the size of that monster, great find
