Default Revisor 6-0004 and Wacker Antik pictures

    Hi all,

Just goofing around with my camera and the razors on an improvised set-up this weekend.
I got the idea of an carton lightbox here on the forum.
Also experimented with some gold and silver colored cardboard.
It is difficult to get the right light on the etching and gold plating, but for now it looks great.

The Revisor 6-0004 6/8 has the very deep embossed emblem and on the Wacker you can see the patern of the laser treatment.
The Wacker 6/8 Antik has a silversteel blade with gold plated spine and tang.
Blond horn scales is the cherrie on the cake.
I didn't know that horn feels that good in your hands.

The Antik is no longer on the web shop page but here or their they are still offered by Wacker dealers.

So now that the pictures are taken I will take the Antik for a first shave...

    Thanks,
    Paul

Great pictures and lovely looking razors! I love my Wacker, they're really beautiful razors and they shave great!

I've not tried a Revisor though, what do you think of them? Might have to get one, coz they look gorgeous!

The Revisor is a great shaver!

I'm just shaving with straights for a month, I started off with with a Dovo 5/8 from Lynn, then when I knew what sharp was I could verify myRevisor and the Wacker.

The Revisor needed a honing and that went very well. The shaves with it are now smooth and thus a great joy. It handles very well and I like the balance of a 6/8.

The Revisor I bought directly from their website. But I am not sure what the customs fees are for European sales to the VS. Thre are several threads here on that subject. As a Dutch guy I only paid retail, shipping was only a few Euro's.

The Wacker I got from the Belgian De Messenwinkel / Oud huis De Koordenwinkel :: Klassieke open scheermessen

But the Antik blond-one needs aslo some work but I am sure it will turn into a fierce cutter!

    Thanks,
    Paul

Holy moly! Those are gorgeous. But how's that little guy gonna shave with such large razors?

    Very nice photography work.

Oh, and the razors ain't too shabby either.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
