    Default This Weekends Finds

Hunting was good this weekend. I like coming home with some goodies to keep me busy. I actually had to leave quite a few behind but that's ok. From left to right: A WR Case & Sons "Warranted for Life", a Dubl-Duck "Satainedge", and a Torrey Razor Co. with a Barber's Notch. All 3 are 5/8's with the Duck being close to Shave Ready. Behind the Torrey Razor Stands a JR Torrey 2 sided Paddle strop I just couldn't pass up for 8 bucks. Don't know if I want to restore it or just leave it as an Antique piece in the main Razor case. This has turned into one very enjoyable past time. The Shaves are Great too. Almost can't wait to get the latest score's complete to go and hunt some more.

Congrats on a great score! A Case, Dbdl Duck and a Torrey in one outing! All great brands and great shavers. Good luck on your next outing.

I've been after a Dubl Duck for ages, I really like the look of them..!

    How do they shave?

My first one shaves great and from the looks of this one it should be the same.

Anyone have any info on this Torrey paddle Strop? The leather surface on it is only 9 inches long by an inch & a quarter wide. Makes me think it may have been for traveling. Just a thought. It would be nice to find out more about it.

I would appreciate hearing if the Case shaved better than the Duck, after honing. The two Case razors I have had were really great shavers, but I don't have much experience with the Ducks. Never seen a bad Torrey, either. Congratulations on your little razor jackpot!
