Thread: A clever SWMBO and a great weekend..!

Hey folks,

It was my 27th on Sunday (getting old..!) and my amazing girlfriend totally indulged my shaving obsession. Man, I love her!

She got me a shave at Trumpers on Saturday morning, and she also got me a load of Mama Bear's soaps and, the piece de resistance, an Iwasaki Kamisori straight..!

I am one lucky guy!

The really clever part comes in when she told me on Sunday that she'd logged onto the forum under a pseudonym to ask for advice. Heres the thread:

Yep, devoteddaughter is none other than my girlfriend! Knowing that I'd probably see the thread and work out what she was up to, she came up with the story. Her name is actually Izzy. And apparently she is some sort of CIA operative or something...! Hehe!

I'm clearly going to have to watch myself..!

I've attached some pictures of the Kamisori below, as well as the hoard of soaps that I've collected over the weekend. The Mitchells Wool Fat soap was from my brother and his girlfriend, and the Trumpers moisturiser and Spanish Leather AS I picked up after my shave. Izzy got me the Mama Bears soaps, which are truly excellent!

The Trumpers moisturiser works great as a pre-shave treatment under a hot towel. I tried that out on Sunday when I test drove the Kamisori and I really cant recommend it enough. It adds some glide to the shave, as well as helping soften the beard.

The Kamisori came from SRD and it is the definative article of sharpness. It just wipes the hairs away like they arent there, and its really smooth on the skin. It feels very different to a Western straight razor, but I love it! Its a real joy to shave with!

Anyway, enough rambling from me! I'm a very lucky guy is all I have to say..!

She got you the true-english tea and cucumber sammich-soaps too. You'll be hungry like a bear at the breakfast when you start your day with those =).
