    Yes, it is hard to compare a 7/8 to a 5/8, because they shave so differently. I really like Friodur stainless blades, I have owned two, also a nice H. Eicker PAX stainless. They are all 5/8 and feel very similar in the excellence of their shaves, like your Friodur (maybe not quite that good!). I wonder if the blade blanks that the C-MON, Friodur, and Eicker razors were made from all came from the same manufacturer, and were ground, honed and stamped by the distributors....we may never know.
