    Default Hikari Rock City

JeffE asked me to post a pic of my hones, so I thought why not?

Here they are (naturals only--not pictured are my Naniwa super stones, the huge 1K I got from the maker here in Hikari, and my tiny Igarashi hone).

From Right to Left, Top to bottom, they are:

Column 1-Coticule (size 8 bout) and Green Coticule w/ slurry stone
Column 2-(broken) Karasu plate, big Kiita w/ nashiji (Barber's gift)
Column 3-"Razor size" honyama (barber's gift, covered with dried slurry), small Karasu plate
Column 4-Maruo-yama Shirosuita su nashi and Maruo-yama Tenjou tomae uguisu-both covered in dried slurry, Frankonian w/ slurry stone, Maruo-yama Gosa
Column 5-Unidentified Razor size Kyoto stone, aoto, covenant hone
And finally, a hon-narutaki Kiita, whose twin is off to market.

By far the most used hone is the razor hone from my barber. It's pretty darned good, and the size is perfect for hand-honing. Then comes the big Kiita. I honestly don't use much else lately...
