Thanked: 2259A new addition..
This Gabel #36 came in the mail today.
I spent about an hour cleaning, scrubbing and polishing, but I think it turned out pretty well.
It measures 11/16, and shows virtually no wear.. Not bad for less than ten bucks!

Thanked: 1903See, I told you guys nothing beats vintage Solingen razors from a bang-for-buck perspective. And this is a particularly nice specimen. Congratulations!

A very nice example of a 3 pin Solingen in near mint condition. Nice cleaning job, too. I could find nothing about Gabel in my books, but it looks to be about a 1970's vintage. Does anyone have more information about this brand?

Good to see a bargain can still be had. I have 5 razors now for a total cost of about £60 and all are now shave ready
