Default What I found at an antique store

I was at an antique store looking for Straight razors when I noticed these.
I had never seen them before and picked out the nicest one of the Three they had and bought it. When I got home I did some research, found out more about them and looked more closely at the one I bought It's practically mint except for a small spot on the bottom of the case where some of the plating is slightly coming off . I felt pretty good about the find and the price I payed.
Then RAD kicked in and ended up going back the next day and getting the other two.

I've seen a few of these but never quite figured out how they work. Are you planning to shave with it? If so please take the time to give us a report.

    Default rolls razor

I have a beautiful Rolls Viscount. I've shaved with it several times, it really is a wonderful piece of equipment, so elegant. Shaves great, except just under the nose, I haven't figured out how to fit it under there. Try it, it's fun, but be very careful of the hone---they break very easily.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

    Default Shaving

Yes I bought the the extra two to shave with and the nicer one as a collector I also lucked out and got a spare blade they had thrown in. I just need to see if I can restore the strops they look pretty good but have small indents from being stored so long. And I also need to figure out how to replace one hone.
Maybe I can get a bigger one cut to size. the other one looks really good.

Stimpy 52 right now I plan on Keeping a goatee so under the nose won't be a problem for me But have you tried a have a finger in each nostril pulling up as far as passable Maybe some one cold help like this LOL.

WOW! That Rolls is in excellent condition. That is a great find. WTG! I don't think I could bring myself to shave with one though!

    Very nice finds.
I know a lad with one of those who was selling it, I passed at the time as I was only into straights. No idea on the condition though (think he's got rid of it now).
Would be nice to know how they work and if it is a nice shaver.

Once I get new leather for the strop I plan on trying it out and will definitely post the results.
I've read several places that they shave allot like a straight.

That thing is for safety razors, correct? I see alot of those things when I hit the antique stores. I dont believe you can use the for a straight razor. Or can you?
