    Default Recent Aquisitions.........

Over the past few months I have hit alot of antique store and I always leave my name and number and ask them to call me if they get any str8s. Low and behold I actually got a call I went in to find about 10 rusty pieces of junk and as I opened the last 2 boxes a beautiful Boker Red Injun and an Alex Grant & Sons with perfect ornate scales. They were tarnished when I got them but no blackening and just a few little spots of surface rust. I took about an hour with each one and detailed them up with some Maas and Ren wax and they came out better than anticipated.
Now the last one was fun I went to my barber whom I thought I cleaned out already. I walk in hes got a big smile on his face and he walks me over to the counter behind the barbers chair opens the drawer and pulls out this beautiful Henckels in perfect condition and it gets better he had honed it up for me too. Man I was smiling from ear to ear. I keep asking him about his old hone and he just smiles and says "Next time you come in".

Love the scales on that Grant! The Red Injun and the Henckels look perfect, and of course can't be beat as shavers. I get calls from one antique store in Tucson, and have acquired some very nice razors and an Escher hone in the past year. It pays to develop relationships with dealers! Your barber is simply priceless. How is your honing coming along?

    Thumbs up Nice finds

    Very nice finds!

Those are the kind of finds that will keep you looking for a long time.

You could look for a year or more and not find a better bunch of razors.

    Congrats,
    Silver2

A United States Senator once said, in a recorded Senate speech, that"
There is no better razor than a Boker Red Injun".
