...and it only cost me $20.
I stopped into an antique shop this afternoon and casually asked if they had any old straight razors. The gal behind the counter said, "Oh yes, my husband has a bunch of them in this drawer." She dumped out two bundles. One batch was $10 each and the others were $20. As I sorted through the $20 pile I picked up one box and by the weight of it I knew something special was in there. I opened it and out popped this 9/8 massive cleaver:
Needless to say, I left with it. Now I just have to decide who to send it to for refurbishing. Life is good.

That is one massive choppah!! Congratulations on getting one of those monster and hard to obtain W&B For Barbers Use razors. Looks to be in perfect functional condition. Only needs a cleanup and honing. Any cracks in those horn scales? They look perfect in the photo. Great score!

Congrats on a great score. I have found several large blades in local shops for similar amounts. Isn't it just GREAT!

I love those things and you got a nice one at a very good price, dont expect it to happen very often as I suspect all of your beginners luck has just been used! W&B take a nice edge and give a great shave and shaving with a chopper is a lot of fun!
