Default I won these on Ebay

I won the bidding on item #180509086963. the set that I really wanted was in England a couple of weeks ago and went for way more than I wanted to spend (read had to spend). I figured I couldn't get hurt too bad unless these are like the Selective I bought back when.

Yes you did great with that set for that price. They will probably make great shavers.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Nice I was watching those as well, just currious as to what sets are doing lately really.

    Hard finding dated blades lately...

IMO you got a great deal and they are probably high quality as well as pretty. Unusual scales and very nicely etched blades, in great condition.

Not mint. I have spent the last week going from 320 to 2000 wet and dry and re-honing them with a 4/8K norton combo and then on a very hard barbers hone and then to the strop. Unfortunatly I slipped off my rubber mount with Thursday and a big chip came out of the blade. so there went my 7 day set. I'm going to have to keep my eyes out for another set down the road. I oiled up all the blades and stuck it away.

    Default ouch

well, s*** happens. You still did well for a 6-day set. Love the scales, there's so many plain-janes out there.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

Sorry about that accident, been there too! Anyway, the old saying goes
"Thursday's child is full of woe!" How big is the chip? Any chance of honing it out and ending up with a nice 4/8 or 3/8 trim razor?
