Thanked: 85Latest Flea Market Finds; a W&B and a Beardsley
Greetings everyone,
Here are my two latest flea market finds. I picked them up last weekend.
The first is a Wade & Butcher with a pretty nice “The Clean Shave” etch. The scales are a bit rough, so I’ll probably replace them.
The second razor is an Empire Razor from Beardsley & Alvord. The blade has a bit of hone wear, but it’s pretty close to a wedge and has a nice smile to it. I’ll probably regrind it to remove the hone wear. The horn scales are obviously shot. I think it will make a nice shaver after it’s restored.

Looking forward to your transformation on them both. I like both blades very much.

Very nice scores.
The second one doesn't seem to have that much hone wear. It's up to you, but I think it'd be a waste of steel to regrind it.
Doesn't that also run the risk of making the already thin blade even thinner?
