Thread: Custom 5 inch Amboyna DE

Of course I normally use a straight, but sometimes I like the shave of a DE and when I travel I use the Merkur 38C...

So like with everything else shaving related - you a need a custom piece....even a DE...

That handle is extremely beautiful. I'm new to the hobby, but that's the nicest piece of wood I've seen yet for custom scale/handles. I read in one of my woodworking books people used to think most wood burls were junk and would just toss em in the fire, now they're used in the nicest stuff out there.

Wow! I had never thought of turning DE handles before-- that is a GREAT looking DE!
